Unlike a number of competitor products, each Omnilux treatment head – revive2, blue and plus – contains only single wavelength LEDs specifically designed to deliver optimized intensities of light. Omnilux Revive™
Omnilux revive2™ transmits red light (633nm) for a variety of applications including skin rejuvenation / wrinkle reduction, acne (anti-inflammatory), dyschromia of the skin such as pigmentation and rosacea, and Photodynamic Therapy (PDT) for the treatment of certain non-melanoma skin cancers[1]. Omnilux revive2 has both a rejuvenating and anti-inflammatory effect on the skin. Proven to increase cellular energy (ATP) which in turn “kick starts” cellular renewal. Highly absorbed by fibroblasts increasing the synthesis of collagen it has also been proven to stimulate blood circulation and lymphatic flow to eliminate toxins, accelerate healing and calm the skin.
Treatment
Omnilux revive™ stimulates cellular activity. As cellular activity increases cells become more permeable and responsive to exogenous factors. Blood flow increases, leading to greater tissue oxygenation and detoxification. Skin appears clearer with less fine lines, is plumped up and hydrated.

Results

Omnilux Blue
Omnilux blue™ transmits blue light (415nm) for the treatment of acne vulgaris and sun damage. Omnilux blue is successfully used to activate coproporhyrin III present in the P.acnes bacteria. Its versatility also allows it to be used to activate the photosensitizer 5-Aminolevulinic acid in the treatment of superficial actinic keratosis[1]
Treatment
Acne is one for the world’s most common skin conditions and results from obstruction, bacterial colonisation and inflammation of the sebaceous follicles.
One of the key bacteria responsible for the inflammation Propionibacterium acnes or P.acnes, produces natural chemicals called porphyrins, which are sensitive to light at different wavelengths.
When stimulated these chemicals will neutralise the bacteria. With no bacteria present inflammation will subside. Furthermore, the action of light on the sebaceous glands produces an environment that is inhibitory to the growth of P. acnes.

Omnilux plus™ alternated with Omnilux revive2™ offers a powerful adjunctive tool when performing microdermabrasion, micro-needling, Botox™, fillers, laser resurfacing, peels, and other non-invasive procedures. Omnilux used before and after the procedure conditions the skin, accelerates healing, reduces downtime, and minimizes trauma and side effects such as post inflammatory hyperpigmentation (PIH). Using Omnilux significantly enhances the overall results of the primary procedure.
Used with Botox injection, Omnilux revive2 light treatment minimizes the possibility of bruising or swelling at the injection site and provides an increased longevity to the effects of the Botox. Chemical peels can benefit a wide range of skin conditions and generally the concept of peeling is often regarded as a gradual program where the client will have between 2-6 peels, depending on the type and concentration of the peel. For all peels, Omnilux is an ideal adjunctive light therapy, which can be used before the peel to prepare the skin’s reparative cells or after the peel to enhance tissue regeneration, increase cell vitality and reduce downtime.
Laser resurfacing and Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) treatments often produce, pain, swelling and other side effects. Omnilux plus used together with Omnilux revive2 light treatments can drastically reduce pain, erythema, swelling, bruising and downtime that many patients experience after laser therapy, fractionated lasers and IPL.
